South River Clean Up

Description: Come meet kindred spirits, get some fresh air and exercise, and help clean up debris from an important 66 acre wooded parcel in the Greenway. Completion of this cleanup effort will clear the way for purchase by Anne Arundel County. The parcel will then become part of over 800 contiguous acres of forests and wetlands owned by the county in the Greenway. Work gloves, boots and enthusiasm are all that are necessary. Upland streams, lily filled ponds, nesting birds and spring wild flowers are just a few of sights to delight the senses of nature enthusiasts at this event. Hikes range from 1 to 4 miles on marked trials. Each walker will receive a Points of Interest Guide and may hike alone or join a guided bird or naturalist-led walk.
