This year’s Volunteer Project Hall of Fame Celebration will be held on November 14, 2013, from noon until 2pm. Northrop Grumman will host this event at the Yellowfin Restaurant in Edgewater, Maryland.
The Volunteer Project Hall of Fame is sponsored by the Volunteer Center For Anne Arundel County and the Coordinators of Volunteers of Anne Arundel County (COVAAC). This year nine Volunteer Projects were judged to have had the greatest impact for the residents of Anne Arundel County and the City of Annapolis. These projects plus one “Legacy Award” winner will be inducted into the Volunteer Project Hall of Fame.
Please join us to celebrate this year’s Inductees into the Hall of Fame. Registration begins at 11:30 am. A select silent auction to benefit both the Volunteer Center and COVAAC will give guests an opportunity to support the work of volunteers and volunteer program managers.
Keynote Speaker Griff Hall was the first Board Chair for the Volunteer Center and more recently was founding Board Chair for the Association of Leadership Programs. Having been a chief executive at national and regional non-profits, Griff launched his own leadership and strategy consulting company at the beginning of the great recession and lived to talk about it. Griff will discuss five reasons why volunteering is an essential leadership experience and surprising trends in the way volunteers are impacting the world.
