Research Firm Kicks off Retail Market Surveys in Annapolis & Surrounding Retail Areas

Surveys to take the pulse of shopper opinions in Annapolis and provide key insights to customer patterns and behaviors.

The Annapolis Economic Development Corporation is pleased to announce today the kick off of the survey portion of the Retail Market Study being conducted by BBP, LLC.  Please take a moment of your time if you are approached this week by the professional survey crew and provide them with your valuable feedback.

“The AEDC is looking forward to hearing from the residents, visitors and the out-of-the-area guests that make up our shopping community about their shopping preferences. We look forward to seeing the trends and interpreting the data received,” said Lara Fritts, Annapolis EDC President.

Representatives of BBP anticipate deploying several teams of surveyors both downtown and the immediate surrounding areas during the week of March 28 – April 1, 2011. The survey will be available via the Annapolis EDC website as well at http://www.annapolisedc.org/survey.html. Please take a moment while you are there to sign up on our mailing list to receive our e-newsletter and event notices.

Initial findings from the Retail Study will be discussed at the May 11th Downtown Forum hosted by AEDC and BBP, LLC at the Downtown Marriott, which is being sponsored by SunTrust Bank. This forum will be held from 8am-10am and light refreshments will be served. Although this event is open and free to the public, we ask that you please RSVP to sanjag@annapolisedc.org  or call (410) 280-2712 if interested in attending.
